West Michigan Digs Out
The Lake effect snow machine is finally winding down after dumping between one and two feet of snow on parts of West Michigan Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, Stevensville, St. Joseph and Benton Harbor (all in Berrien County) picked up between 15 and 20 inches of snow. In Van Buren County, Lawton, Gobels, Paw Paw and Hartford saw between 10 and 12 inches of accumulation. Allegan also picked up 10 inches of snow. Kalamazoo, Schoolcraft and Battle Creek saw between 6 and 9 inches of accumulation.
Monday, the Arctic air which triggered the snow showers will be right on top of us. The high temperature will be near 20 degrees with colder wind chills. Forecast models suggest the work week will be much colder than average with another Arctic blast coming next weekend. :snball I am only a weather enthusiast, my opinions are just that, my opinions. Alway's stay informed with your local weather pro's. |
