You have to have a live feed, which you can get for a fee from Allisonhouse.com, or you can use the free Iowa state univ. feed... which I don't have the link at this time

What does the java radar viewer have that gr3 or stormlab doesn't?How do you load the image?I have not used it.

I have fiddled arround with that in the past. Very cool program. You would think that since its a product of NOAA it would just grab images from whatever site is requested. Don't understand that one.
I didn't know it can get current data. I may have to look into using it more. Problem is my pc has a sporadic problem with java apps.:frown:

The Java software uses Nexrad Level II data, not III data.... That's why it doesn't capture images from the NWS server.
