OK, That's a great help. Thanks guys. You're awesome. As I write this, we have some rough weather moving in, mostly still offshore. It's funny, cells coming at us from the SW and the NE at the same time. Then I realized the ones SW are much higher altitude than the ones from the NE. There are 22 cells being tracked right now. One more quick question. On the Velocity screens, there are areas of red, green and purple. What is the significance of those colors?

Thanks,
Don

I,m not a severe weather expert but I know that red is wind blowing away from the radar site and green is wind blowing towards the radar site,at least that it what I hear on local tv,Im not sure what the purple color means.Perhaps some of the other guys can say what it means.

The purple areas on the velocity display are "range folded" areas, or areas that the radar is unable to determine the radial velocity.

Link which may help.

/headscrat I'm using whatever came with the download. I found the "Set Color Table" under the "View" tab, but never opened it until just now. Should I do something to it?

Thanks Roll, I'll be looking for them. I saw my first POSH (big green triangle) this afternoon. Hey, I think it's a big deal. I'm easily entertained.
