New version is out. Tried it but didn't care for it.

I purchased it awhile back,but wasn't to happy with it tried the new version and don't care for it either.It can slow your system down.It's eye candy.But there is some people out there that likes it.Another problem I had with it was it took awhile for it to retrieve an image from the nws server.And itwould hang up and the program would quit responding.

I had the same problem crossmaker. The program would intermitently lock up and the image retrieval was surprisingly slow. But your right. Some people have been waiting for the new version for a while. Hope they like it.

Yeah, I bought Storm Predator about 3 years ago, for like $80, and started moving on to bigger and better dopplers. Now, since sp has moved on to the new ridge radar, the older versions dont work, and i would have to pay extra to upgrade, which is rediculous, especially when i can get the same stuff for free off the internet...

I probably am...all i remember is that it was my freshman year of drumline, and i was all excited to get home each day to see if i got the new package!! I guess back then $39.95 seemed like $80!

Likewise tried storm predator out before too...i liked it but now that you have to pay to upgrade I wont buy it again..I like grlevel3 and weathertap..I did like the flashing feature and the sound threshold alarm..that was cool.. Not really needed but pretty cool.

Once you pay for any program upgrades should be free for a lifetime.
