I, for one, left the private sector to work in government and have second-guessed the decision ever since. Working with people who are stuck in the 'dark ages' creates frustration on a daily basis and communication is horrible. Most days I think I should just dust off the IBM Selectric and the mimeograph machine to keep the peace. (And, yes, I learned how to type on an IBM and can distinctly remember the smell of those purple and white mimeograph handouts from elementary school)
