I admit, I go to church..but I don't really pay attention....

I have ADD so bad that my thoughts switch to "wow that dress looks good on her" or ... "why is this guy next to me mumbling".

My friend from HS has studied all of this stuff and I really should go stay with her for a weekend and let her tell it to me in laymen's terms. Where I actually understand it.
Sounds like you need to change churches...no one should go to one where they are that bored.

The world will end when humans overpollute it, change the climate too drastically, or blow themselves up. Either that or the sun will go supernova in a few billion years.

The world will end when God says it is time. Like a theif in the night. No one knows when it will be, so people need to be prepared at all times. If everyone knew when it would be, everyone would be like 'ok, the world's gonna end tomorrow, better start believing what God says'...

Things just don't work that way.

Katie, in layman's terms, the Bible does not teach a 'rapture', it does not teach anything resembling the 'left behind' series. The prophecies in the OT and Revelation are talking to the Jews about the fall of Jerusalem, the Roman empire, and the coming of Christ's church (which already has happened - the Jews wanted a literal physical king, but God had other plans).

Revelations was written in apocalyptic language - which the early Church knew how to understand. They had the old testament scriptures -- it's all there!

The bible requires study, but not opinions. It is truth. It can get very deep. But the answers are all inside of it, so long as we keep it in context.

Please read it. It might just save your...ah, who am I kidding. It won't benefit mankind at all. But it might make you laugh...

People have been saying the world will end since the beginning of time. Ad naseaeum. And they have been horribly wrong despite how unshakeable the certainity was, however precise the calcuations. they incessantly prophecise that the end is near. how far will these people delude themselves?

Sorry, but you are both so wrong...the world will end at God's chosen time, mankind can see signs, but not know the day or time..when you leave God out of the equation as you two do,you have no clue then.

True, but God does work in mystierious ways. Maybe he will take human form and then it is like humans destroyed to world. No one would know, everyone, who isnt dead yet of course, would assume it was another crazy *** human. No one can say that this person is wrong or my way is the right way, that is what faith is. Everyone has the freedom, from God, to think and go around as they want.

That freedom is also what will doom those to hell that don't believe, and haven't been saved....don't get mad at me,I didn't say it,God through Jesus did.

If your god was as forgiving as you say it is, then it wouldn't mind me believing in something else.
