RE: HURRICANE NATE
Since the initial rain band earlier today, it has been downright boring in New Orleans. We have had light rain for much of the day. Nothing to get excited about.
WVUE (channel 8) showed a graphic that our heaviest wind is from about 9 pm til 3 am. Just saw this on a blog: UPDATE 7:45 p.m. ET: The Mobile Bay Causeway in Alabama now covered in water as a result of storm surge |

RE: HURRICANE NATE
I think the hurricane warning in New Orleans was just changed to a tropical storm warning. My phone erupted with the ts warning.
Yep: CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY: The Hurricane Warning for Metropolitan New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain has been changed to a Tropical Storm Warning. The Hurricane Watch for Lake Maurepas has been discontinued. |

HURRICANE NATE
Not much happening on the west side of Mobile. Random bands of rain since around 4pm but nothing lasting more than 15-20 minutes at a time. Only one band of rain had any decent winds with it.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I was expecting the NHC to give updates more that the normal 10/4/10 pattern with the storm making landfall but they've been almost silent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 26ft wave heights on the 42040 buoy 63 miles south of Dauphin Island. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
