James Spann
Quote: ROPICS: Joaquin is now a hurricane; it is now packing sustained winds
of 75 mph east of the Bahamas. A good chance this becomes a category
two hurricane by tomorrow as it turns northward, but great uncertainty
remains in the ultimate destination. The most recent runs of the GFS
take it into the middle Atlantic coast around the Tidewater area of
Virginia, while the ECMWF (European) keeps it out at sea. One way or
another, this pattern has potential to bring some very heavy rain and
beach erosion from the Carolinas north in coming days.

This could get interesting, Folks.

Markets are currently quite volatile, Vix is over 24, 10yr is under 2.10%, we have had multiple recent selloffs, FED's next chance at liftoff is October, and we could have a cane bearing down on the northeast next week.

RE: HURRICANE JOAQUIN
Still not convinced this will make a US landfall. The last Euro is still on the recueve option. It's too good of a model to ignore. If it turns then I will start to agree. Models flip all the time. Wouldn't surprise me to see them go off shore by tonight.

RE: HURRICANE JOAQUIN
New Euro crushes parts of the Bahamas then takes JQ out to sea. This track has been very consistent. Not buying the US landfall hype yet. Money on Euro until it changes.

There is a lot of people praying the Euro is correct. If it isn't. The whole model is going to be looked at as a mega failure. If it's correct all the other models are going to have to be investigated as to why they made such a critical error. Either way something funky is going on
