Mobile's heavy rain from Sunday has moved over to our place for a really rainy Monday. Here in Bluewater Bay (Niceville, FL), we have gotten 3.0" of rain so far today. Heavier rain is approaching.

RE: Gulf OF Mexico next week
All the up-talk about heavy rains in Florida from this low pressure did not materialize. The Tampa Bay NWS FB post from late morning sums it up:

Quote:The area of widespread rain that was moving into the coast of Southwest Florida and the Tampa Bay area has largely dissipated and moved out of the area. As a result, the flood watch has been cancelled. Generally lower rain chances are expected through the rest of the week.
We had some intermittent showers this morning and two more short lived showers later on. This event was along the lines of the Remnants of Erika for Tampa Bay.
