ROLLTIDE Wrote:Alex are you sure that you are not in Mobile ? Cause the storm shield is working Working wonders this month, no thunder nor rain since the severe weather outbreak of March 9th. Its a regional shield now /uhoh2 That same supercell from earlier over Geneva County, AL is still prompting severe thunderstorm warnings, now for Bainbridge, GA, and to the east. The other warnings I saw earlier for area storms all referenced golf ball sized hail (the Geneva was the only with tennisball sized hail), this one is no exception: Severe Thunderstorm Warning SEVERE WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 613 PM EDT SUN MAR 27 2011 GAC007-087-131-205-272230- /O.CON.KTAE.SV.W.0036.000000T0000Z-110327T2230Z/ MITCHELL GA-BAKER GA-GRADY GA-DECATUR GA- 613 PM EDT SUN MAR 27 2011 ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT FOR NORTHERN DECATUR...GRADY...SOUTH CENTRAL BAKER AND SOUTHERN MITCHELL COUNTIES... 3/26/11 Deep South Severe Weather Outbreak ?
Dr. Greg Forbes
Wed Mar 30. Isolated severe thunderstorms and a chance of a couple of trnadoes in southeast LA, southeast MS, south and east-central AL, GA, FL, SC, south NC, south TX. TORCON - 3 or less. Looks more like rainy thunderstorms with a relatively low threat due to lack of upper forcing.
