I suspect you meant ICU and not ER, never heard of anyone spending a month in the ER.

I support health care reform, but not the bill which was passed.
Yeah, I meant ICU. My bad.

In the end, they paid it, but it took his work to do things that I don't understand. All I know is that they wouldn't pay it, and then after a few weeks, they are paying it.

However, my uncle nearly got dicked into a $500k medical bill by his insurance company. His liver failed, and he spent over a month in the ER.

A major medical policy would have cost him no more than $50 a month. What Obama wants to cram down his throat will cost him a lot more.

No one in the US is denied health care. My wife has worked ER/ICU for 25 years at a major PRIVATE hospital. No one has ever been turned away for lack of insurance or money. Ever.

Major medical coverage with just a few thousand deductable is cheap. And bankruptcy is cheaper if you're too lazy to buy even that.

So he was insured but the insurance company was slow to pay? That's nothing unsual and won't go away with forced insurance. If anything, it will get worse.

Man, I could tell you some stories about dealing with insurance companies from my wife's cancer. They always pay in the end, but they'll drag it out as long as they possibly can. And we have a "Cadillac" policy...

Recent polls (not just one but several) are revealing that 68 to 75% of Americans do not believe the Healthcare Reform Law will reduce the deficit. They/we are not buying the bullsh*t, even if they supported the passage of the bill. Healthcare is already available to everyone--like LSU said--no one is turned away. If you can't pay your bills, you file for a hardship case with the hospital and they write it off in alot of cases.
Reform was needed, but there is no chance that this new bill will work efficiently and effectively. Thousands upon thousands of new GOVERNMENT employees will be needed to run it, and their salaries, pensions, etc alone will be astronomical, not to mention the cost of all the "new" people that will suddenly be insured.
How many of the non-insured have contributed to the tax revenue pool? I'd like to know that--anybody know?

It's not health care reform until there's tort reform, reform of bureaucratic mandates, the removal of allowing illegal aliens from the system and allowing insurance companies to compete across state line.

The supposed health care reform is an obvious seizure of a sizable piece of the private sector to increase government workers and increase taxes. It's crap; anyone with more sense than a crustacean would know this; and any other support of this travesty is only cheerleading for a corrupt administration.

"...And because I support health care, I guess I'm willingly turning the US into a second rate country?

Yeah, **** you..."

Yes and **** you too. You, and the rest of your progressive buddies should move to the U.K. so you can help sink that country into final oblivion.

"...Since I've only lived in states where health insurance is mandatory, no.

Yeah, and they finally paid, but that doesn't change your unwarranted lust for demanding everyone take care of your family.

Meanwhile, you are oblivious to the fact your state is bankrupt, will be forced to more economic hardship due to the Healthcare Bill and you'll be forced to accept rationed healthcare. I'm willing to bet you'll be first in line when the bitching starts.

Dumbass
