I think you will find that the snow will end shortly b/c it is running into a really dry air mass. So any moisture that falls will evaporate before it hits the ground.
It would be nice to get some snow here in the Lafayette area. You guys from down the bayou have a better chance if the moisture develops in the GOM. Just like in Dec '89. The coast got snow the interior parts, 20miles inland, did not get any snow. But you need a low to develop in the GOM and have it move close enough. They air is just to dry over the next couple of days for snow... Now I DID NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...So..... JN, I don't know why the NWS would be posting about the next system a week in advance, because they hardly ever go more than a day or two out when it comes to these systems, even more so when it comes to these type of graphics. |
