...wind advisory remains in effect until 7 pm cst this evening...

A wind advisory remains in effect until 7 pm cst this evening.

A vigorous low pressure system developing across western texas
will lead to strong southeast winds across south texas through
early this evening. Southeast winds are expected to increase to
25 to 35 mph by late morning across much of the area. Wind gusts
around 40 mph will be common. However...some gusts between 45 and
50 mph can be expected across cities such as corpus christi...
Robstown and kingsville this afternoon.

Motorists...especially high profile vehicles...should drive with
caution today. The strong winds will make driving difficult at
times. Residents should secure lawn furniture...garbage cans...or
other objects that could be blown around by the strong winds.
