Sun Spots
Where have all the sunspots gone?

The sunspots (and frequency and intensity thereof) run on an 11 year cycle. This year is the minimum of that cycle. Sun spots have some correlation with clouds, and during the peak of the cycle there's 1-2% more than at the lowest point.

I just got around to reading this thread. I learned something. Being a ham radio operator for nearly three decades, I never knew that there was a correlation between the sun spot cycle and clouds. Hams are waiting for the sun spot cycle to start the upward swing. More sun spots, better signal propagation. Come on clouds!
