I don't think you're really looking at all the possibilities.

McCain is 72 years old and has had four malignant melanomas surgically removed since 1993. The odds of him passing while in office are higher than most presidents we've had. Now I'm not saying he WILL die in office... but, you know as well as I do, the risk is higher in this case. Are WE ready for Palin to run the country if something happens to McCain? Is SHE ready?

Obama may not have the most experience, but I can assure you he has no less than Palin. And, as far as judgment goes, I would trust Obama hands down to really think something out before Palin would.

Here's the difference, folks. It's obvious Obama is an intelligent guy. Because of that, he will surround himself with intelligent people if he makes it to the White House.

John McCain will surround himself with war buddies. He's been in the senate for 26 (?) years, and has made friendships. He's going to rely on friends... not necessarily smart people. John McCain is a war hero, and an incredible American. But does that make him a great candidate for President?

Barack Obama is a change in direction, a step from the norm. Does that make him a bad candidate for President?

And one additional nifty thing for you to think about:

You know all those difficult leaders in the middle east? Guess what? NONE of them will talk to women. They refuse to. Palin will have no voice when it comes to foreign situations. I don't know about you... but I want to rest with the fact that my President and Vice President can tag team foreign relations. How about you?

Great.

Way to nominate somebody who makes you look like the pot meeting the kettle. Also, what a cheap way to try to get Hilary supporters. You can't honestly say that he nominated her for her politics, can you? After all, all she does is make the campaign look bad. I thought conservatives stood for smaller government, yet she is in the center of a power abuse scandal. Not to mention that she was taped last month saying that she has no idea what the VP does. Uh, I don't think so.

I would rather have an inexperinced Palin over Obama any day of the week for one major reason. OBAMA IS A MARXIST! I am honestly scared of what will happen to business in this country with B.O. in charge. Nationalization of industries, windfall profits taxes, higher income taxes, higher capital gains taxes, and on and on and on. McCain was definately not my first choice, but this is so important, Obama must not be elected.

I am watching her speech right now...dynomite! If she can debate with Biden as well as she gives a speech, game over. Welcome to the White House Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin!

Wow! I think you just insulted all the women of HCW.

Come out of the stone ages bro and drink less of the kool-aid.

You throw mud and have nothing more to say as to why B.O./ Biden would be any better. I expected more from you. If you want to make a point, back it by facts and reason. If not STFU.

I didn't say why Obama/Biden would be better because that wasn't the point of my post. Obama really turned me off by trying to shift himself more to the center, especially when he voted for FISA. However, I see him as the lesser of two evils in this election, especially since he's aligning with me on the most key issue in my eyes, Iraq. Whether he follows through on it, though, I still have my doubts.

And I DID use facts. Sorry if I didn't address the other side.

Sarah Palin's speech last night was nothing less than brilliant!!! She is awesome! She brings youth, charisma, and home-town common sense to the table. Now I will vote for John McCain. She is the first candidate I have actually been excited about and I hung on her every word last night. Anyone who didn't see her, do yourself a favor and watch her acceptance speech.
Experience? Listen to what she says about herself and also remember: Ronald Reagan, one of our most effective and popular presidents, was a Hollywood actor then governor of California.
As for me, if you want to know my political views, just listen to Sarah. Really LISTEN to her. She will win the election for John.

I completly agree with you, I was just telling my daughter this morning that I will now vote for John because of this brilliant move. Up until this I was undecided, I am also excited now... I really listened and hung on every word as well.

I was mainly talking about this part:

But anywho.

You nailed it when you said "the lesser of two evils in this election"

I'm still undecided as to who is the lesser of evils. Both candidates have many pros and cons. (which I don't have enough time to get into at the moment.)
