Being able to hire Craig Biggio as its baseball coach was a good deal for St. Thomas High School for more than the obvious reasons. Biggio, because of the financial security he amassed from 20 seaons with the Astros, told the school he would not accept a salary. He requested that the salary he would have received be split among assistant coaches

He was and still is a class act. Very humble and dearly loved to play the game. Never forgot the fans.

Played the game like a kid and realized every day just how fortunate he was. Should be a first ballot HOF!
