A storm system moving across the central plains will spread precipitation across the area overnight. Rain and snow will be widespread by morning with snow mainly north of Interstate 80 and rain and snow mixed along and south of there. A stationary front is expected to stall out just north of the Ohio River later this week as several waves of low pressure move eastward along the front. Moisture is forecast to stream northward over the front and interact with cold air moving in from the northeast to set the stage for some possible wintry weather Thursday into Friday.

A potpourri of precipitation is expected across the region on Thursday as a series of disturbances will move along a stationary front which will be located across south central Illinois and Indiana. Basically, there will be a mix of rain and snow across areas north of Interstate 80...with rain and some claps of thunder south of Interstate 80.
