We've got around 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground with temps in the 20s. This has been the snowiest Iowa winter in years! Just over a week ago we had a night time low temp of -29F! Also experienced my first thunderstorm this year on Monday...

Maine has had more snow than normal also. Up around 60 inches total so far. And February and March are the worst monthes for snow. I think the record snowfall is around 110 inches for the whole winter. Sometimes you get so much snow you can't pile it any higher so you have to move it somewhere else to make room for more. I've got a four foot white picket fence and its buried. I've had to snow rake my roof 4 times this winter to get the weight off of it.

My goofball brother and wife and 7 month old baby are moving to Maine....in two weeks!!! I will be on pins and needles as they drive up from N Carolina in two cars with the the baby and two dogs and grandma!
I was considering a visit in March, but after reading your post, forget that! I will wait until May or June!/Wow
