RE: Spring Hill, Florida Area
July 2015 Observations:
Average Daytime High was 90.9° Average Overnight Low was 75.7° Average Mean Temp was 83.3° Highest Daytime High was 96° on July 7 and 8 Coolest Overnight Low was 73° on July 17 Coolest Daytime High was 79° Warmest Overnight Low was 78° on July 14 and 23 July started very hot by Florida standards, and very little rain here, but as the middle of the month approached, pattern changed back to one seen a lot this summer, to a southwest flow. A reverse summer time pattern where coastal showers and storms form in the early morning hours and move inland after early afternoon. The last 10 days of the month we had a boundary, a trough drapped across the state and pieces of energy would ride the trough from the gulf to the northeast, that brought a lot of rain. Some of the worst areas hit were Elfers in Pasco County and Tarpon Springs in northern Pinellas County. 94% of the month's rains were from the 16th on. Rain Amount = 14.83" Most Rain in One Day = 4.15" on July 16th. Another 4.00" day was on Sunday, July 26th. Rain from the 16th on was 13.93" This pattern continues to hold in place as August begins. |
