Pt. Sunny through the morning hours, then Pt. Cloudy as storms developed after 1:30 p.m.

Shower at 3:30 p.m. Thundershower at 4:30 p.m.

Dewpoints in the upper 60's to near 70°

Winds south/southeast at 5-15 mph then west

Rain Amount = .52” (Total for month = 9.65”Wink

Pt. Sunny till around 1:30 p.m. then storms blew up east of here and they dumped anywhere from 2-4 inches of rain, but we only caught very light amount as we were on the edge.

Winds southeast at 5-15 mph

Dewpoints in the upper 60's

Rain Amount = .05"

Forecast for Monday the 25th:
Memorial Day: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Pt. Sunny. Storms formed south of us and the moved inland.

Thunderstorm at 9:25 p.m.

More storms formed from an outflow boundary from storms in the central part of state and hit the boundary of the sea-breeze and this sent another boundary which formed more storms at 9 p.m. and moved over us.

Dewpoints in the upper 60's to near 70°

Winds southwest at 5-10 mph

Rain Amount = .45" (Total for Month = 10.15")

10th Consecutive Day of measurable rainfall.

Forecast for Tuesday the 26th:
Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming south southwest between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Pt. Sunny till noon when showers and thunderstorms started developing on sea-breeze line.

Rain showers from developing storm at 12:15 p.m. Storms are moving northeast today on southwest flow.

Another line of storms quickly raced across the Gulf and reached the coast by 6:30 p.m. and brought another round of showers then.

Winds southwest at 5-10 mph

Dewpoints near 70°.

Rain Amount = .50" (Total for month = 10.65")

Gulf Water Temp is 79°

Forecast for Wednesday the 27th:

Pt. Sunny at times, but mainly mostly Sunny

Very strong on-shore wind out of the west/southwest and northwest at times at 5-15 mph with gusts to 22 mph. This pushed what showers there were well in-land and across the state by evening.

Dewpoints in the upper 60's and then rising after dark

No Rain for the first time since May 15th

Forecast for Thursday the 28th:
Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. West southwest wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Started out with light fog and muggy conditions. Cloudy from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. then Pt. Cloudy

Shower with thunder at 10 a.m. Light shower at 7 p.m.

A frontal boundary/trough is expected to move through the area. This will usher in drier air aloft and limit rain chances through the weekend. This boundary is expected to move back north early next week and bring back the moisture.

Average Daytime High was 88.3° F (1.2° Above Normal)
Average Overnight Low was 67.6° F (4.9° above normal)
Average Mean was 77.95° (3° above normal)

Highest Daytime Temperature was 94° on May 12th
Coolest Overnight Low Temperature was 61° on May 19th

Coolest Maximum High was 68° on May 19th
Warmest Minimum Low was 73° on May 28th

Total Rainfall = 11.04” (8.46" above normal)

Total Rainfall for Year = 15.77". Normal for Year at this point = 15.07". At this point we are now 0.77" above normal.

Since August 26, 2008 we have had 19.11" of rain. Normal for this time period is 30.52". We are 11.41" below normal.

We had more rain in the month of May 2009 than we’ve had in the last 9 months combined (8.07" prior to May 1st)
