June 30, 2007 Observations:
Daytime High was 93° F
Overnight Low was 74° F
Mean Temperature was 83.5° F

Average Daytime High is 91° F
Average Overnight Low is 70° F
Average Mean for date 80.5° F

Record High is 98° in 1990
Record Low is 61° in 1981

Pt. Sunny and muggy.

Storm formed around 3 p.m. about 1 mile away and did nothing for us at the house. Another storm went by around 7:30 p.m. Then at 10:30 p.m. a small thundershower hit.

Dewpoints in the low to mid 70's

Winds east at 5-10 mph till around 2 p.m. when the sea-breeze moved through.

Rain Amount = .18"

Forecast for Sunday the 1st of July:
Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 102. Calm wind becoming west northwest between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Average Overnight Low was 72.9° F (3.3° above normal)
Average Mean was 82.05° (2.1° above normal)

Highest Daytime Temperature was 95° on June 17 and 26
"Coolest" Overnight Low Temperature was 66° on June 2

Coolest Maximum High was 84° on June 1, 2
Warmest Minimum Low was 76° on June 10, 11, 19, 21, 22

Total Rainfall = 4.63" (2.31" [COLOR="Red"]below normal). [/COLOR]2.66" fell from Tropical Storm Barry with only 1.97" thereafter.

Most Rainfall on One day was 2.26" on June 2nd

Record Monthly High is 100° occurring in 1981
Record Monthly Low is 47° occurring in 1984

Pt. Sunny then increasing clouds

Thunderstorms started developing around 1 p.m. and moved inland, we remained dry

Dewpoints in the mid to low 70's.

Another cluster of storms formed around 9 p.m. and dropped south. As they approached the complex weakened and we got some rain, but not heavy.

Rain Amount = .20"

Forecast for Tuesday the 3rd:
Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. North northwest wind between 3 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

A lot of low clouds through the morning, more sun in the early afternoon, then cloudy again as showers/thundershowers passed us by.

Dewpoints in the mid 70's

Winds east at 5-15 mph

No Rain

Forecast for Thursday the 5th:
Thursday...Becoming mostly cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs in the upper 80's. Northeast winds around 10 mph shifting to the northwest in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph with gusts to 14 mph

A thunderstorm complex moved down out of Citrus Co. but, as has been the case, it weakened and we received no rain.

Forecast for Friday the 6th:
Today...Partly cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs in the lower 90's. West winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

No Rain again and very limited thunderstorm development

Rain chances decrease in the early part of the week, very unusual weather for sure.

Forecast for Sunday the 8th:
Sunday...Partly sunny with isolated thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90's. Southwest winds 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday Night...Partly cloudy with isolated evening thunderstorms... Then mostly clear after midnight. Lows in the mid 70's. South winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

I've been out of town since the 9th and will start with conditions on the 19th.

But I should note that here at my house rainfall amount was 1.85" from July 9th to the 18th. Most of this fell Monday evening.

Gulf water temp is now at bath water level at 89°
