Daytime High was 73° F Overnight Low was 63° F Mean Temperature was 68° F Average Daytime High is 76° F Average Overnight Low is 50° F Average Mean for date 63° F Record High is 88° in 1974 Record Low is 36° in 2004 Increasing clouds overnight. Showers after 7:30 a.m. then quit after 8 a.m. Then a solid line of heavy showers with torrential rain from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Dewpoints in the low 60's Winds south/southwest at 15-25 mph with gusts to 34 mph Tornado Watch Issued at 11 a.m. till 6 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued at 2:25 p.m. then upgraded to a Tornado Warning for a confirmed Tornado on the ground near the county line of Citrus and Hernando County. Rain Amount = 2.30" Forecast for Friday the 12th: Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Patchy fog before 7 a.m. High near 72. Calm wind becoming south between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. West southwest wind between 9 and 11 mph. |
