Daytime High was 94° F Overnight Low was 77° F Mean Temperature was 85.5° F Average Daytime High is 91° F Average Overnight Low is 71° F Average Mean for date 81° F Record High is 98° in 1991 Record Low is 65° in 1988 Pt. Sunny and clouded up around 2 p.m. Light rain off a thunderstorm north of us at 4 p.m. [COLOR="Red"]Thunderstorm hit at 10:35 p.m. with strong winds and heavy rain, this prompted a Severe Thunderstorm Warning till 11:15 p.m. Winds estimated at 35-40 mph with higher amounts near the airport at 55-60 mph. Lightning strikes numbered 750 from 10:40 to 10:50 p.m. Estimated 2,500 strikes from this cell alone. Rain quit around 11:30 p.m.[/COLOR] Dewpoints started in the mid 70's and went to the low 70's in afternoon Winds northeast at 5 mph then west/northwest at 5-10 mph Rain Amount = 2.50" (2.40" from the 10:30 storm) Total Amount for Month = 6.74" With the storm, rain amount broke the one day rainfall record set in 1983 at 1.11" Forecast for Wednesday the 15th: Wednesday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 106. Calm wind becoming north northwest between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Wednesday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Northwest wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%. |
