I hate this time of year. Storms are so close I can see the rain and hear the thunder. They seem to have formed on an east west line (old front) just south of me. Everything is moving to the south though.
Looks like a dry day for me but south of me folks are getting some welcome rain.
Another good chance tomorrow. Hopefully I can join in the fun.

Well, we finally got a storm around 3:15 p.m. It clouded up and it looked like it was moving east of me as well, but then it started thundering to my north and then boom, rain!

Some places just south of me had nickel to dime size hail and it covered the ground...viewers said it looked like snow on the ground.

Welcome rain, but we need a lot more and a little higher chance of rain tomorrow as well.
Glad to hear you got some rain.
I was very surprised at how the radar looked today. Very rainy season like.
Quite a spread of temps today. Gainesville area was only in the mid 70's while I hit 91.
That's a back door front for you. Tomorrows prospects look better.

We hit 94° today before it started clouding up and raining on us. We didn't get as much as others, some places in the county had 2-4 inches of rain and down the spine of the state from eastern Hernando south the same amount of 2-4 in spots, but there were many who didn't get any and they need it too.

Maybe tomorrow you'll get in on the action.
After the wicked storms of yesterday, we had this.

More rain this evening around here.

We had a shower from a line of storms that had been severe in Citrus County around 6 p.m. then after driving home from Tarpon Springs started raining near Weeki Wachee which turned into a storm moving through with heavy rain which diminished around 9:30 p.m. to light rain and basically just waiting for this to just rain out now. Good rains!

Small tornado touched down in Temple Terrace tonight around 6:40 p.m.

Otherwise some minor wind damage in places, but just mainly rain throughout the area.
Swing and a miss for me again.
Maybe today will be the day.

Many of the coastal areas around here haven't had any rain, some have, but many haven't.

I say bring on the rain again. We need it badly.

Hopefully Ocala will get in on the act today.

Storms as they were forming around 4:15 p.m. on May 14, 2009. This is looking north/northeast toward Brooksville, Fla. and Citrus County.
This is 25 minutes later of storm forming on the sea-breeze moving back to toward the coast.
