Hardcore Weather

Not much winter weather materlizing over the united states except for the system bring snow to the moutains in the NW but it's coming you just have to be patient. The SOI is becoming more negaitive as time progresses and the warm water in the Gulf of Alaska is holding it's ground. Actually the storms in the west are not products of the el nino but the warm water in the gulf of alaska. There is some warm water in the atlantic which should fuel a jet to drive into the east coast in the upcoming days...but the pattern is changing and it is only a matter of time. It's very windy, cloudy and cold in the east especially here and there will be a strong system developing off the eastern seaboard, ensuring nasty weather; already us LIer's are getting wet weather! This is one horrible fall that's all I can say...

Yet another storm coming out from the Gulf of Alaska area, very strong this one. snow will be measured in the feet in the moutains and some area's particulary the higher elevations will recieve over 8 inches. This is not a sign of El nino per se but a sign of the warmer then normal water's in the Gulf of Alaska which is energizing the storms. This will be giving us some snowy weather later on...
