(CNN) — A top aide to John McCain said Monday she thought comedian
Tina Fey's impersonation of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin on
NBC's Saturday Night Live over the weekend was sexist because it
portrayed the Alaska governor as lacking in substance.

And Sarah herself said the impersonation was hilarious! It WAS hilarious and Tina was excellent!!

Yeah, I thought it was great. She also said that she was watching with the sound off (which strikes me as kinda weird, but whatever).

I think it's simple, Dan.

Whenever anyone questions Palin, it's sexist.

By the same wisdom, anyone who questions Obama is racist.

Discuss.

Here's another point that Bill Maher brought up on his show two weeks ago.

Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant, by a stereotypical redneck, no less. This isn't a huge issue in the race, and I agree that it shouldn't be.

What if one of Obama's daughters was 17 and she was impregnated by somebody who had a stereotypical "thug" personality. Would he still be in the race? I'm inclined to believe that he wouldn't be.

Sure he would! This "type" and "behavior" has become the accepted norm among a vast majority of our population. It would have the same effect as it is having on Sarah's candidancy: nothing.

We have different views on the state of things, then, because I think he'd be chased out.

On the same token, I don't think Edwards will be back in 4 years because of the personal issues that he's encountered recently, either. Shame, because he was my favorite.
Daniel, I would be curious to know your definition of a "redneck". Please, I am asking a serious question, because I think we might have different views on this as well.
