Calling for lows in the 30's, but still have high clouds around so it may not drop that low.

Forecast for Tuesday the 15th:

Winds north near 10 mph.

Storm developing in the western gulf is expected to track to the northeast of us, but by doing so a rapid change in dewpoints will occur as a warm front forms and moves north on Wednesday and then a cold front will sweep through and hang around for a few days.

Started out with a lot of clouds and cool conditions as a brisk northeast wind was blowing at 10-15 mph.

After noon some sun and winds veering around from the east/southeast at 10-20 mph, with gusts to 28 mph

Dewpoints started in the low 30's and quickly rose to the mid 40's by 2:30 p.m. and into the low 50's after 9 p.m.

After 2 p.m. a lot of clouds.

Lt. Rain started after 8:30 p.m. with some moderate rain after 10 p.m. to midnight.

Rain Amount = .45" (0.85" for month so far)

Moderate rain at midnight through 2 a.m. Then another round after 2:45 a.m. of heavy rain till 4 a.m.

Dewpoints in the low 50's most of the night and rose to the upper 50's to the mid 60's later.

Winds southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph

Rain Amount = 1.32" (2.17" for month).

We get a little reprieve on Friday, but another storm is expected to form in the gulf and move our way Saturday.

Tornadoes... Hail To 1.5 Inches In Diameter... Thunderstorm Wind Gusts To 70 Mph... And Dangerous Lightning Are Possible In These Areas.

The Tornado Watch Area Is Approximately Along And 50 Statute Miles Either Side Of A Line From 80 Miles Southwest Of Ocala Florida To 40 Miles East Northeast Of Daytona Beach Florida. For A Complete Depiction Of The Watch See The Associated Watch Outline Update (wous64 Kwns Wou2).

Remember... A Tornado Watch Means Conditions Are Favorable For Tornadoes And Severe Thunderstorms In And Close To The Watch Area. Persons In These Areas Should Be On The Lookout For Threatening Weather Conditions And Listen For Later Statements And Possible Warnings.

Discussion... Scattered Thunderstorms Over The Eastern Gulf Of Mexico Will Move Into The FL Peninsula This Afternoon And Evening. These Storms Will Interact With Retreating Surface Warm Front... Cloudy and cool with a northeast wind till 11 a.m. then the winds shifted to the southeast then southwest

Dewpoints started in the low 50's and rose to the low 60's and began dropping after the line came through.

Winds northeast 5-10 mph to southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Then shifted to the west after 7 p.m.

Thunderstorm hit with rain at 4:50 p.m. and had periods of heavy rain. Then one blast at 5:40 p.m. with strong winds and torrential rain. Wind gusted to
30-35 mph. Spotty showers after 7 p.m.

The storm at 5:40 p.m. prompted Tornado Warnings, though we had strong winds, we did not receive any damage near my residence.

Storm movements were 50-55 mph.

Rain Amount = .89" (Total for month = 3.06" )

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 56. Wind chill values as low as 36 early. North northeast wind between 15 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Pt. Sunny with a lot of high clouds, but increasing clouds late in the day

Winds east at 5-15 mph

Heavy shower with lightning at 7:55 p.m.

Shower with lightning/thunder at 10:15 p.m. This line moved in from the Gulf of Mexico and weakened near shore.

Thundershower at 10:50 p.m. with heavy rain

Rain Amount = 1.38" (Total for month = 4.44")

All of this activity is due to the sea-breeze intersecting with the heating over land to touch off numerous showers and thunderstorms, this is rare activity for January.

Forecast for Wednesday the 23rd:
Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8 a.m. Areas of dense fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Patchy fog after 1 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm.
